28 July 2008

Classic Ford Magazine came and did a professional photoshoot on the car on Monday 28th July.

The shoot was mainly on a semi-derelict farm in front of a large pair of green barn doors. It was a very warm day with full sunshine and blue skies. Two guys came over : John Betts to ask the questions and take notes for the article and photographer. The photographer came equipped with plenty of kit and flash lights on tripods to get even lighting.

Photos were taken from 10:30 in the morning until 2pm with no break for lunch! The photographer was very professional, methodical and careful. We moved the car into different positions to capture the front, front quarter, rear quarter, side etc.

After shooting on the farm we went to a closed country lane to do some moving shots. I drove the car behind a mondeo driven by John with the photographer hanging out of the back door and signalling for me to drive closer... to his head!

About 8 passes with two moving cars, then about another 6 passes with me driving past the photographer at the side of the road, shot from both sides, then we were all done (about 3pm).

I'm looking forward to seeing the feature, which should be out in the November or December issue of Classic Ford. The pictures the photographer showed me on his camera screen looked fantastic.
