We were on the Capri Club International stand at the Classic and Sportscar show at the NEC, Birmingham, UK November 2008.
Winner of "Best Modified Capri" class at the show. We won a nice silver plate and a bottle of wine!
Classic Ford Magazine came and did a professional photoshoot on the car on Monday 28th July.
We've owned this car since 1997. We enjoyed her and ran her for years not ever having to do anything as the previous owner had already spent a lot of money on her.
Gradually through the years she deteriorated, only slightly, but enough to need a bit of attention to the bodywork and a few mechanical repairs.
What to do? Sell her? Restore her?
Instead of restoring to standard we decided on a serious under-the-skin upgrade.
The intention : to keep the outside looking as close to original as possible while upgrading everything else to create a powerful, good handling and reliable car to have fun in.
